Chef’s Plot

Filed under: Uncategorized — TopVeg @ 10:27 pm

The Chef has decided to create a vegetable plot where his lawn used to be, and we are going to follow his progress.

Although famous for his prowess in the kitchen, the Chef knows a thing or two about growing veg.

His garden did comprise a neat lawn which he has been carefully mowing over the years.  When he realised that he wanted to grow his own veg,  the lawn had to go.

This is a wonderful opportunity for new vegetable gardeners, who can follow the development of a vegetable garden step by step.  Click on the links below to keep abreast of the evolution of the Chef’s plot:

  1. Digging up the lawn to make a vegetable plot
  2. Planting onions in the plot
  3. Express broad beans sown in plot
  4. Potato planting delayed
  5. Check onions daily
  6. Seed potatoes moved out
  7. Red onions showing growth
  8. …….this section is updated as things happen – so keep checking us!
